Sometimes the issue is "too technical" to even explain, just pay for repairs. Tell them you need backup and reload, you don't have to use bitlocker as well, tell them you don't want it on.

New hard drive. Probably $50 if you do it yourself or $100 or so if you got to a local pc repair

i just fixed this issue for someone 2 weeks ago. it's an hp firmware update issue. you need to go into your recovery screen and see if you have restore points available go to the oldest version.

Sounds like your OS partition might be damaged, your drive isn’t being recognized, or your BIOS boot order is messed up. Check if your drive is detected in BIOS and try running Startup Repair from a Windows USB.

Chris :
check if secure boot is enabled in bios, switch drive operation mode RAID or AHCI incase bios swapped them for some reason, try startup repair. bunch of different causes.

Hit "escape key" and try to do a system recovery. If that doesn't work, head to Best Buy and get an SSD.

turn it off completely if you haven't already ( not restart) turn it off then back on, my sister's brand new laptop out the box did that so I just turned it off then back on and it worked
