I have a certificate 3 in IT and I'm studying for my certificate 4 in IT cybersecurity and we do sometimes use Kali, parrot and even black arch but what we use 99% of the time is a Ubuntu server and add our pentesting ourselves

industry standard, cause it's proven in the pentesting field. in your reports you state the build of Kali you used and this helps with accountability and being able to reproduce the findings.

Kali is just Ubuntu/debian with extra tools and packages installed and it uses xfce instead of gnome

Can’t bother learning arch even though I should. Kali is like muscle memory, since backtrack, so I have to force myself to use Parrot. The parrot 🦜 transition hasn’t been good even tho it’s Debian

last thing on my mind when I do a pentest is the OS... kali is convenient, used to it, and I would rather have it bloated with tools and not use it 😂 switching serves no purpose whatsoever
