my opinion is start it let it build oil pressure take of gently and under light load until it reaches operating temperature then drive normaly idling is ok just not for 20 minutes every morning

Its the driving pattern thats clogg up egr,dpf and so on.
Short rides whit cold engine that clogg it up, this is common knowledge in Norway.

100% idling kills EGRs, DOC and DPFs. I work on a fleet of over 300 switchers. they idel ALOT especially in winter. half of them ydon't go over 10-20 mph. I deal with this everyday
