MTA is cash strapped because of all the pensions they pay for retired people plus healthcare which is expensive. Plus it runs 24/7, so the overnight workers get paid even more than day workers.

The City transportation should be like a sub contractor that people vote for and hire. If they do a bad job the public votes and fired them n hire another company to run it.
