That changed in Indiana July of last year. Under two now qualifies for adoption subsidies and lawyer fees are paid up to the certain amount of you use a lawyer that is more than DCS reimburse for.

My 15 month old I just adopted this month, does not even have a Social Security number assigned to him. The SS office told DSS his name was not legal and would not give him a number. 🤦♀️

Wait they don’t get a stipend? Does the state not understand that just because they were adopted before 2 doesn’t mean they get to bypass adoption trauma?

Thankfully our boys receive everything, no matter the age (CA). We adopted at 3.5years, 10 months, and 8 months 💙💙💙 but I do need to get new social cards since their names were changed.
