At least you are making it right for the customer, me coming from a tech shit happens no one a perfect technician we all makes mistakes it’s a matter of how you handle the mistake

Granted yes it hurts the profit but some may see it as job security sense you are making it right and a lot of customers appreciate that instead of hosing the customer and making a bs story

Back when I worked at a independent shop I broke the nipple off a radiator by my arm slipping I got the radiator taken out my check plus the labor to do it because they made another tech do the job😐
