@avan.jogia: So I don't know if you guys used to read these back in the day, but for research for my book Autopsy (of an ex teen heartthrob) I read a lot of these and man. The psychological harm these quizzes could do to a kid is insane. It goes beyond "what's the cute boy's favourite colour" the ideas that were put into kids heads about dating and relationships were pretty absurd. "If you want boys to like you, you have to make sure you ______" it also made the boys in these magazine into unknowable and mysterious fantasies that had to be tricked or they wouldn't like you. "Who has the best." "which hair is better." the constant comparing of the girls in these magazines was nauseating. The insecurities both the readers of the magazine and the girls in it must have felt would have affected who they became as adults. If you ever think to yourself how did we get where we are, remember this is what we were feeding our children.
