When DRC’s current president, Félix Tshisekedi, took power in 2019, he initially sought to end the war through dialogue. He even invited Kagame to Kinshasa, the capital of the DRC, in an attempt to ease tensions. However, the Congolese people were furious, knowing very well that Kagame and his backers were the true enemies behind the ongoing destabilization of Congo. To further his peace efforts, Tshisekedi joined the East African Community (EAC), believing that regional cooperation could help resolve the war crisis in eastern Congo. But what happened next? The M23 rebels, backed by Kagame and his Western allies, made outrageous demands, insisting that the Congolese government allow them to control 40% of the national army in the mineral-rich regions. But let’s be honest—we all know that the M23 are not just Congolese rebels; they are Tutsi militants who have always worked hand in hand with Kagame and his Western sponsors for mineral exploitation. If they were truly Congolese and wanted to integrate into the country, then why would one ethnic group demand 40% control of the national army? Are they the only tribe in Congo? We are not naive or foolish enough to accept such an absurd demand because this is exactly the same strategy that Rwanda and Uganda agreed upon with Laurent-Désiré Kabila—a ploy to control our mineral wealth. Rwanda and its Western masters want full control over Congo’s natural resources, and we will not let that happen!
