It’s also in Samsung and LG’s interest to keep production low enough so they can have 120 in their base model phones but not enough for Apple’s. They’re incentivized to perpetuate the shortage

ofc they will still lose some profits making the base 120hz screen will make the market choose between base and pro max mostly where the normal pro version will feel like an empty option

Wrong, they want to keep the pros and the base models separate, if they give the base 120hz now, it would be one less reason for people to get the pros

Samsung would not be putting 120hz screens on their midrange phones if they couldn't produce enough. Samsung is well able to produce enough 60hz screens for Apple but apple just gets away with it

If 120 Hz displays aren’t that expensive why is the pro model so much more? The reality is clear diff between the models to highlight a “pro” phone, otherwise ppl would buy only the base
