I don't like to trim more than 1-1.5" of sheath back, because then you just have a lot more waste to trim off. I call mine Orange Stripe, rather than White Orange, because I find it less confusing. I don't care how much cable you do, or how good you are, test every crimp you make every time. It is too easy to miss one, then you play hell tracking down the culprit later.

why are you not using the pass thru connector? much easier and faster. one guy says 568A, that's old school, better to use 568B to reduce interference

Quality of workmanship means using the right tool for the job. Not using tool that can damage the cable if you are not careful. The correct tool takes careful out of the equation. 👍
