@quinnieminnieminnie: If I didn't have my well bred #purebred #poodle I simply would not have another dog at all. I wanted something specific: to show. I also have two #rescue #reactivedogs in my house. I will not risk their safety for a random #shelterdog the shelter doesn't know the history of and may have lied about. well bred purebred dogs are microchipped, on buyback contracts, and some are co-owned for life. Mimic is still on a co-own because she was purchased to show. If anything happens to me, she goes back to her breeder, or her breeder helps place her somewhere appropriate. She will NEVER go to a shelter. Shelters are a safety net for #backyardbreeders
