I literally left an org for this exact reason. Nobody wanted to fix things bc I was being the glue, so to them it wasn’t broken. Meanwhile my job had become so unsustainable I was having panic attacks

I tell my team this CONSTANTLY. Upper management sees numbers, not the work that goes into the numbers. Their sanity is not worth the numbers, their mental health is not worth the numbers.
