@haliibby: I often take the role of a parent & speak to myself that way because it is SUCH a reality check. You need to parent yourself and be honest with yourself because who tf else will?? You don’t need to take accountability for where you are in life because it might not be your fault, but why you can be responsible for is how you let things play out.
