You’ll fear the cold and crave the burn..❄️ ~ JM Storm ~ My soul yearned to get out in the sunshine today, so Jorge, Maddie, Katie, and I headed to downtown Frederick earlier this afternoon. 💜 It was nice soaking in the magic of Fire in Ice ~ Frederick's Winter Wonderland. 🧊The streets were lined with intricate ice sculptures, live carving demonstrations, and festive activities at every turn. We strolled along Carroll Creek, admiring the floating displays and soaking in the lively winter magic. . Meanwhile, the bars were packed with people celebrating—but I couldn’t help but feel grateful to be right here, fully present with my family. 💯 Years ago, I might’ve been inside one of those bars, taking shots and losing sight of what really mattered. I highly doubt the kids would have even gone with us back then .. 👀😬 . Instead, we wrapped up our adventure with ice cream from South Mountain Creamery, laughing and making memories I’ll actually remember. 🍦 . Sobriety has given me so much, but the biggest gift? Presence. . No blurry nights, no hazy memories, no hangover regrets—just pure, simple joy. 🥰🤘 If you’ve ever wondered what a sober life looks like, I promise you: life doesn’t get smaller when you remove alcohol.
