My hair always felt gross after using leave ins, heat protectors, and oils- now I know that it’s because low porosity hair doesn’t absorb most products well!! Now that I’ve switched to products made for low porosity.. GAME CHANGER! My hair feels clean, soft, and it’s slowly but surely becoming less dry and damaged. Me & ChatGPT are besties, ok!! Here’s the recommendations it gave me: Best oils: argan, grapeseed, jojoba Worst oils: coconut, castor, olive, shea Oil treatments: wet your hair, apply the oils, stimulate your scalp, use a stream cap to get the cuticle layer looser so the oil can penetrate. Cleansing: use a clarifying shampoo 2x a week since our hair is more prone to buildup! Use a regular shampoo free of any of the “bad” oils and proteins on other wash days. Chat didn’t recommend the John Freida one but I’ve used it since I was a child and I love her. Conditioning: the @evahairnyc Therapy Session mask was one of its recs and I actually already had it so that worked perfect! Damage: avoid protein treatments bc they fill in weak spots on hair surface, which just adds to our problem with buildup. So I use K18 instead! Olaplex was recommended but I already had some so I’m using it anyway. I use the K18 2x a week, you need the cuticle open for it to work so that’s why I clarify shampoo, condition mask to restore moister, then shampoo AGAIN on those days. Apply @k18hair , wait a few minutes and then use my leave in conditioner and seal my ends with argan. Leave in/heat protectant: choose one that uses the recommended oils or it will leave a film!!! It recommended the Moneymist by @colorwowhair and I LOVE IT!! Hope this was helpful!! Catch me in a few months with hair longer than my future!!!!! #lowporosityhair #lowporosity #haircare #HairCareTips #hair #longhair #beauty #damagedhair #hairtransformation #hairgoals #hairproducts #fyp
