I think one way to understand this is step by step. God created everything, including our ability to choose between good and evil, but that does not mean God loves or commands evil. There is a difference between God allowing something to exist and God approving of it. God gave human beings free will, intelligence, desires, and the ability to make choices. If we were created unable to do wrong, there would be no real test or meaningful choice between good and evil. We can choose to be honest or lie, to forgive or take revenge, to help someone or hurt them. Even Shaytan was not created evil and forced to become evil; he chose rebellion because of his arrogance when he refused God’s command. Shaytan can tempt and whisper, but he cannot force us to sin. Ultimately, we make our own choices. We all have desires and weaknesses, such as anger, jealousy, greed, pride, and other temptations, but having those feelings does not make us evil. What matters is what we choose to do with them. And when we make mistakes or commit sins, we are not beyond God’s mercy. We can recognize our wrong, repent, and turn back to God. So the existence of evil does not mean God is evil or that God wants people to do evil. Rather, this life is a test where we are given the freedom to choose, and our choices have meaning. Sometimes we may not understand why God allows certain things to happen, but from an Islamic perspective, God is ultimately just and merciful, and every person is responsible for the choices they make.
