I think I read somewhere that Jellicent was originally a pure water type, but the team wanted to tack on a few more ghosts so they just added the ghost type to it haha

the pokedex are written by children so a lot of the data is hyperbolic, Magcargo is probably closer to 1900 degrees (not that that's any better in terms of a health hazard but as an example)
