@murdock.macabre: Yoandra Taimir Nuñez was born on May 29, 1977, in Havana, Cuba. She was the daughter of Maritza Martin and Emilio Nuñez. Tragically, on November 26, 1992, at the age of 15, Yoandra died by suicide in North Lauderdale, Florida. At the time of her death, she was a freshman at Northeast High School and was 13 weeks pregnant. Following her death, a series of tragic events unfolded. On January 18, 1993, during a visit to Yoandra’s grave at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, her father, Emilio Nuñez, confronted his ex-wife, Maritza Martin. In a moment captured by a television crew from the program “Ocurrió Así,” Nuñez shot and killed Martin, blaming her for their daughter’s suicide.
