My old male is so sweet with the core family but he advances and bites everyone he doesn’t know. He’ll be ok with some people as long as they don’t move at one of us too fast.

It's pretty much the same with all scared animals. Exist close to them peacefully, till they calm. Then introduce foods and other positives to induce curiosity and positive association. 😁
