In May 2021, I faced one of the darkest storms of my public journey. A book recommendation, Metaphysics of Sex by Julius Evola, was taken out of context, and without knowledge of the author’s political leanings. (Which, I have educated myself on and learned to research authors before recommending books to the public.) I found myself the target of a mass cancellation, hate comments and death threats. Overnight, WitchTok branded me with a nickname I never asked for, “Fashley,” accusing me of beliefs I do not and have never held. It was a period of relentless attacks, distortion, and mob mentality that I, like many others before me, had to endure. Fast forward to today, and I received a message that truly touched my soul. A former hater, someone who had once contributed to the attacks against me, reached out with a heartfelt apology. They acknowledged their past actions, the influence of the online mob, and their personal growth since then. They didn’t have to do this, but they chose to. This is what real alchemy looks like. Occultism, at its core, is about transformation or alchemy of the self, the soul, and our understanding of the world. It requires us to question, to reflect, and to take responsibility for our actions. The person who messaged me today demonstrated the essence of this path: self-awareness, accountability, and the courage to right a wrong. We all, at times, allow emotions, societal pressures, or misinformation to cloud our judgment. But what truly defines us is whether we have the strength to acknowledge those missteps and course-correct. I share this moment not to reopen wounds, but to celebrate healing. ❤️‍🩹 This message reminded me that growth is possible even in the digital age, where cancel culture so often prioritizes punishment over progress. It reaffirmed my belief that people ✨can✨ change, that dialogue ✨can✨ be meaningful, and that, even in a world that thrives on division, there is still room for understanding. To the person who reached out—you are a true example of what it means to walk the path of wisdom. Your apology means more than you know, and I honor the growth that led you to this moment. May we all strive to be better than we were yesterday. 🧿✨🤍 #witchtok #witchesoftiktok #cancelculture
