One of my favorite blood sugar hacks it to eat pickles before my carb heavy meals to reduce a blood sugar spike! A tbsp of vinegar has been baseline shown to decrease the glucose spike of a meal by up to 30% (PMID: 31221273). So sometimes I’ll do pickles, other times a salad with apple cider vinegar before eating, or even just a tbsp of ACV in water. Ingredients 1 persian cucumber 2 sprigs of dill 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp minced garlic 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp peppercorns 1 cup of white vinegar 1 cup of water sprinkle of salt Heat-Free Pickle Recipe: 1. Cut the cucumbers whichever way you would like 2. Add the cucumbers to a glass jar and add all other ingredients. 3. Close teh jar tightly and shake the jar so the brine is all mixed up 4.
