I also have a female shepherd, and it is unfortunately the breed. These breeds require a lot of structure & training. They love a schedule. Mine only eats after exercising & boycotts food without it

Water on kibble will make it have a stronger smell and helps encourage eating! You can also try do enrichment puzzles. If you put the kibble into a game she may be more excited to eat.

Thats about how much we feed my big dog a day. And maybe the hiding her food thing came from her being around other dogs before you got her? Maybe try one cup twice a day see if she is just full

My shepherd was the exact same until she was about 2-3. It definitely got better slowly over time. I think its just the excitement bundled up plus still being a puppy!

Also once they hit about a year or 2 that is when they hit their full height. So she may get bigger. Also if she gets spayed before then like if she already is she may just get a little bigger.

We have two German shepherds and they are both like that the female is more high strung tho, they do throw their food on the floor and then eat it , they are still great dogs tho just can be weird lol

I would recommend bringing a trainer into your home. She’s a mix of two breeds that are meant for a high energy lifestyle/need a job and lots of attention. They’re working breeds.

from what i’ve heard and understand, Belgian Malinois need experienced owners? but shes mixed but it’s with a GSD. idk, she seems fine. she just loves you and is protective of you.

I have a female shepherd mix they get very clingy and have attachment issues. Mine doesn’t eat on a schedule we actually leave her food out all day but she HATES other dogs and tries to kill them 😅
