I refer to myself as a "keeper" but that's purely because I own animals that are not dogs or cats. but I still own them, I bought them.

I think it sounds like some people are getting stuck on the word rather than the intention or feelings behind the title. Some people have no real emotional attachment to their pets but others like myself treat their pets like a member of the family. The title doesn’t matter it’s how you treat them
