So I worked for a very large oil company. We had a rep from the lube oil division come talk to us about oils, specifically our product M. One. He went on to explain these budget oils and frankly speaking, they all have to meet the same specs. Make your own judgement though.

Hell no. I use Castrol high mileage synthetic on my 2000 Honda Civic with 350k miles. Then I use a Wix oil filter. Saves a ton of money when you do it yourself!

as long as it's API it's all pretty much the same. most oil brands in the U.S. use the same couple manufacturers.
