@shinanova: It's crazy to think that tourist shops are flooded with fake Indigenous art. It's a Multi BILLION dollar industry profiting off of Indigenous designs, symbols and motifs with no connection to natives. Artists have been fighting for years to avoid having their art being reproduced without permission. If you want to know if the art is authentic, don't be afraid to ask questions: Who is the artist? Which community is it from? Who is your supplier? So important to do your research to make sure you're supporting authentic Indigenous art 👏🏼🙌🏼 I love @adaawewigamig !!! There's so much to choose from anddd they support and advocate for the community+ youth.😌👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 https://youtu.be/XRo3h5Pq6A0?si=TtEE4jUEUIKnDje2 #indigenousart #indigenousowned #authentic #TikTokforGood #TikTok_Partner

For Canadian girlies looking for warm boots I heavily reccomend Manitobah Mukluks!!! You can order online, the quality is amazing & so is their customer service. 💜

My daughter is wanting a pair of indigenous made earrings for her birthday. I want to support indigenous artists/culture but don’t want to appropriate. Are there any traditional symbols to avoid?
