As someone who used to work there, they look at a huge variety of things: how old the clothing is (check tag date), if the tags are cut out, smells, etc.

Used to work at one! Every “sorter” is different when it comes to picking clothes! We go by our guidelines and a little of our own judgement!

Weird!! Ours gives us enough money to get a new wardrobe when the kiddo outgrows her current stuff. If they don’t take stuff sometimes I just put it in a different container and bring it back in lol

I used to work at once upon a child and we couldn’t take clothes that we had too much inventory of which is why they tell you they wouldn’t sell well. And we could only give a certain amount for each item. Hope that helps❤️❤️😁

I’ve sold my kids clothes 3 times, first time I got like 53$ for like 30 items then 58$ for like 38 items and the 3rd time they took like 40 items for 87$. I think the trick is having everything nicely folded and clean.
