Non-toxic Dad didn’t write the book on non-toxic living, but I am writing the dictionary! 📖✍🏼 Over the years as Non-Toxic Dad, I’ve been using code words when I’m in public to avoid exposing myself, my family, and my friends to toxic fragrances and other chemical concoctions that wreak havoc on your health! To get you started, here are 3 non-toxic code words broken down: 1. Bounce Bounce Baby = Someone who uses an excess of fabric softeners, detergents, deodorants, and other chemical fragrances on their clothes and body to the point being around them will give you a headache 🤕 👉 Avoid this person by discreetly signaling to your group and saying “bounce bounce baby,” then head the opposite direction ASAP. 2. Joop Joop Baby = Someone who uses too much perfume/cologne before going out (Joop was a cologne I wore back in the 90s). 👉 Avoid this person with the code word “Joop Joop Baby,” and then heading away from them to avoid that brain fog and headache 😶‍🌫️🤕 3. That’s Fabuloso = A room that has just been cleaned with heavy amounts of cleaner containing toxic chemicals and heavy fragrances sure to give you a headache (Fabuloso is a multi-purpose cleaner containing artificial fragrances). 👉 Avoid these rooms by signaling your group and saying, “That room; it’s Fabuloso,” and leaving ASAP. While these code words seem silly, they can do wonders for helping you and your friends/family avoid people/places in a discreet manner without coming off as “snobby.” Your health should always be a top priority, even if that means you occasionally need to avoid certain people/places so those fragrances don’t cause any harmful reactions. Also, you can always develop your own code words if these seem too silly for you 🤷‍♂️🤣 In fact, if you have your own code words or cool hand signals to avoid toxic people/places, let me know in the comments below! ⬇️ #toxicproducts #healthychoices #healthyhabits #biohacking #nontoxicliving
