in 1993, at 21, I bought a unit. I was earning $21k and it cost $58k. just over 2.5 times my wage. that would be worth $450k now. at my current salary that is 7 times my wage. it is very different now

Also not to mention any 19 year old going to uni is not earning even close to this wage. Skilled professionals have to wait at least 4 years to graduate (and undertake unpaid placements) before they even start earning what's on this breakdown.
