This. I’m a sahm and can assure you my dogs spend much of the day napping. Y’all they are fine! Some dogs do need more stimulation but a lot of them just nap!

Dogs are incredibly great at following schedules. I work from home but my dog knows that when I’m at my desk, I’m business for 10 hours. She gets me during breaks, and knows the moment I clock out.

They should get a place to potty if you’re gone on a work shift for 8-12 hours but otherwise I agree! You should also come home and spend quality time with them when you can. They aren’t decor.

DVM here and I totally agree. i work part time and so have days at home and you know what my dog does? SLEEP. we took a walk and played some ball, but otherwise sleep.

Plenty of rescues need to hear and comprehend this. I was rejected by multiple rescues cuz I work. I asked how else does one earn kibble money?
