@zoerosenberg_: A detective from the Petaluma Police Department admitted in court during my preliminary hearing that she did not investigate reports I made to her regarding criminal animal cruelty at Perdue’s Petaluma Poultry Slaughterhouse. She acknowledged that scalding an animal alive would be animal cruelty but said she did not look into my allegation that chickens were being boiled alive, even when offered evidence. Meanwhile, I am facing criminal charges and years in prison for rescuing abused and neglected chickens from the Petaluma Poultry slaughterhouse. I wouldn’t have needed to rescue those chickens if Sonoma County law enforcement hadn’t failed to act. It is beyond disturbing that they are apparently unable to use resources to help animals but have abundant resources to prosecute animal rescuers and animal cruelty investigators. #PerdueTrial #RightToRescue #animalrights #animalliberation #animalrescue
