@cdaspine: Clinical correlation refers to the process of relating laboratory, imaging, or other medical test results to a patient’s symptoms, medical history, and physical examination findings. In this video Dr. Larson shows why clinical correlation is so very important when evaluating a patient with spine problems. MRI reports don’t always tell the full story because the radiologist does not have the benefit of examining the patient so there is often no clinical correlation. Here, a patient’s disc herniation was initially missed, but through a second opinion, Dr. Larson diagnosed the clinical problem, and correlated it with an until then undiagnosed disc herniation. Now, the patient is on the right path to relief! A second opinion with Dr. Larson could make all the difference—link in bio to schedule yours. 🧠 “The mind that diagnoses you, and the hands that heal you.” #spinehealth #secondopinionmatters #painreliefjourney #discherniation #backpain #secondopinion #backpain

What’s my odds of removing l5/S1 fusion and rods to get a disc replacement so I can flex again? I’m 38 and willing to travel.

Far laterals are sneaky. Good pickup. Emphasizes the importance of reviewing the images personally not just rely on the report. Why not get a myelogram next ?

Nice case. I get the occasional cases with radicular pain despite normal MRI findings.
