Propress fittings have been around for over 20 years and are very reliable. The fittings are more expensive than sweat/solder type fittings and the tool plus the specific jaw sizes are also expensive. Not really worth the investment for a homeowner unless you do a lot of plumbing. Way faster and easier than sweating and it doesn’t need to be bone dry like a sweated connection.
