I’d wager most of the moms that this happen too are not white and/or most likely are of lower mid class economic status. I bet it’s racial and/or economic profiling, which is wrong.

And we only hear about the ones who are lucky enough to get an attorney to represent them. I’ve seen people sign family plans because they don’t know that they don’t have the right not to sign them.

The worst part is you can’t refuse. I was immobilized by the c-section shot when the doc said “I’m gonna give you a little something for your nerves”, even tho all observations read “patient is calm”

My daughter was born shaky due to medications I was on (well documented from neurologist and OB) yet they still drug tested the placenta & brought in a social worker 😒 guilty until proven innocent

I had something similar happen to me and lost my son for a year.. even with weekly drug tests from 18 weeks of pregnancy on until my due date to prove I was clean.

I got flagged for drugs for a headache medication my OB put me on and was fully documented in my chart. Social worker showed up in our room after babies test came back positive. Thankfully no one tried to take my kid.
