I’ve had this disagreement with people many times about the new highway code where it says you SHOULD stop for pedestrians that are WAITING doesn’t say you have to stop

Highway code needs to change back to what it was as pedestrians think they have priority and just randomly walk in road when ever they feel like it 🤦♀️

Should never have changed to give pedestrians priority. Luckily most are sensible enough to realise that cars trump them in that situation and they wait

Couldn’t agree more too many others drivers that aren’t paying attention and will rear end you. Highway Code needs to change back so many pedestrians stepping out without even looking.
