Dead right. Doctors always blame a nurse when they’ve messed up. That’s also why I left!

I was used as scapegoat in an NHS role (thankfully nothing this serious) but because of that I left the profession, not one person had my back even though I had evidence to prove my innocence.

I’m the same experience as you… nhs is not the same as it was! It’s now full of professional jealousy, scapegoating and gaslighting… so glad I’m out…. Where was her supervisor??? Someone should have stood up for her!!!

I’ve raised concerns in my trust too, they don’t want to know. The things some people get away with is horrendous

Managers don't have the skills, confidence or knowledge to handle concerns about poor practice so all to often they do nothing.

100% facts. It's actually your colleagues that throw you under the bus at any moment to cover themselves that's the real risk.

I am a senior nurse in the NHS and I have never witnessed medics treating nurses this way. I have only ever been treated with respect by medics I work with

I’ve came from a successful senior career in private corporate to the NHS. I was sidelined, ignored, humiliated etc because of professional jealousy of other senior managers.

It’s beginning to become very evident that Lucy Letby has been thrown under the bus by highly paid Consultants and Managers because their own failings were about to come out.

She was heavily protected by the managers at that hospital and whistle blowers were almost sacked for raising the alarm on letby.

Letby didn't raise any concerns. Others raised concerns about her behaviour around babies and they were made to apologise. Letby was protected by corrupt management because she's white and privileged.

we all know what happens to whistle blowers in the nursing profession I reported bad bad practice and was driven out for it, they say report it but do very little about it

NHS is “if your face fits” organisation. The bullying is unreal. It also very much promotes to the level of incompetence for those in favour.
