I have a B8 2.0 TDI A4,you dont need to remove the Alternator to change the thermostat,iv'e done it without removing it,tho I did remove the Throttle Body

99% this change not solve the problem. Second DSG thermostate and check valve need to be exchange also and then you solve problem for more time😏😏

I have Golf 2013 1.2 TSI, my temperature gauge goes down while i am idling and having heating on, but when i am driving, temperature stays at middle. I’ve had the water pump changed to a Gates one
