U gotta reapply the dwr! I’m not sure abt SF but the soho arc’teryx store will wash and reapply the dwr for free!

These are definitely waterproof jackets better than North Face but pricey ones too. I got a longer RAINS raincoat and it makes me completely dry walking in the rain and its cheaper one but good quality.

It's only 900 cause of the brand /styling. The actual waterproof material can be purchased in other jackets for cheap

You have to reapply the wash proofing by washing it with special detergent or bring to arc ny and they will do it for free I think

Are you ever using a DWR to treat after washing? This will help you regain water repllancy :)

make sure you’re washing it with tech wash + not regular detergent! It helps preserve the DWR. You can use nikwax or grangers wash + repel. Never had any issues with any of my outdoor gear using those
