Over the past 5 years I have taken in 3 sets of senior Golden Retrievers. In 2018 I took in Beamer and Madison they were 12 years old when I got them. At the time the dentist I was working for was retiring to Chile and couldn't take them with him and he knew I loved Goldens and I had one that previously passed away and was more than happy to take them in. About a month after Madison passed away, a friend from church passed away and I took in Buffy and Ginger. They were also 12 years old when I took them in. Buffy lived to be 14 years old and about 3 months ago Ginger passed away just shy of her 14th birthday. As soon ad I saw Rocky and Laila on a rescue site I knew I had to take them in. Rocky is 7 years old and Laila just turned 8 years old. They are brother and sister but not from the same litter. Their owner passed away unexpectedly. I've had them for about a month now and they are settling in great. I know with taking in seniors they will not be with me long but I am going to give them the best life in their remaining years here on the farm. My friends joke that my home has become where Goldens come to live put their golden years. I'm new to tik tok so bear with me.
