@engr_berto: During the great 2013 Bohol earthquake which flattened the Maribojoc and Loon churches and which inflicted major damage on infrastructure, then Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte flew to Bohol to give financial aid to affected local government units amounting to Php18 Million. He gave Php1 Million to Maribojoc where his trusted alter ego Jun Evasco was municipal mayor. Fast forward 2021 when Typhoon Odette struck and devastated Bohol, Digong’s daughter then Davao City mayor Inday Sara sent a huge delegation of emergency response and rescue team headed by the elite Davao Central 911 Emergency Response Service and joined by other agencies of Davao City government. The huge delegation went to Ubay which suffered great damage. Digong and Sara were not obliged to send help. They were not national leaders at that time. They were LGU executives and yet they helped Bohol. There were many other things that the Dutertes did for Bohol. It was during the term of Digong when the Panglao Airport was opened. The new Maribojoc port was also constructed during Duterte’s time.
