i’m literally the middle ground I annotate but with colorcoded tabs based off my reaction or thoughts but also refuse to fold my pages or scribble on the actual page

I use the tabs, that’s it. Writing in the book, bending the pages, basically anything permanent, physically hurts me 😭

I do both. If I wanna annotate, I buy a copy specifically for it. The rest of my collection is in perfect condition because I enjoy the preservation of books, and just admiring them in my collection.
