As a large dog owner I absolutely do not care if someone picks up their small dog to go past me, especially reactive dogs. I ask any size dog owner if they need space or want me to wait to pass.

Yes! My little senior dog is a jerk! All the training has made him stop instigating, but he’s still going to react if your dog runs up to him. It’s not about how nice/friendly/trained other dogs are.

The frequency I have had to pick up my small dogs because their choices have ended poorly for them and now they either need to be removed from the problem they caused or are asking me to fix it.

As a terrier person I call this air jail when Chloe would misbehave 😂😂😂😂😂 but she low key loved being held so much that she loved being held like a baby she’d completely relax and just lay there

I pick mine up when we're crossing busy roads without traffic lights, just gives me one less thing to worry about
