I’m not sure you agree with this, but 月/tsuki (moon) looks similar to 肉/niku (meat) so 月 is used in body-related Japanese Kanji! In this video, I’m talking about some of those Kanji. The Japanese word “hada” can mean skin or surface. Here are some examples of how it is used in Japanese: 肌がきれい/hada ga kirei means “to have beautiful skin.” 日焼けした肌/hi-yake shita hada means “sunburned skin.” The word “shoulder” in Japanese is 肩/kata. For example, you could say 肩が痛い (kata ga itai), which means “my shoulder hurts.” To say someone’s height in Japanese, you can use the word 身長/shinkou, which means “height.” For example, you could say: 彼は180センチです。/kare wa hyakuhachiju-senchi desu.) He is 180 centimeters tall. 彼女は160センチです。 (kanojo wa hyakurokujuu-senchi desu.) She is 160 centimeters tall.
