@itschachigonzales: You never think this kind of stuff will happen to you until it does and you’re faced with a life threatening situation. A few days ago, while I was driving with my 3 girls, our car began to smell funky. I remember thinking “this can’t be normal” & my body started to shift into emergency mode. I advised the girls that if we needed to exit the vehicle, we needed to do so quickly & calmly. As I pulled over, our car quickly began to smoke. In that moment, my priority was to get my children out of the car as fast as I could. In a blur of unbuckling seatbelts and pulling my kids out of the car one by one, I saw fire. Once we were all out, in a matter of seconds, our whole car was engulfed in flames. There truly was not a second to waste & I’m just relieved I was able to set aside any fear I had in order to protect my kids & leave the situation physically unharmed. I’m still in a bit of a shock & having a hard time processing the urgency of it all. Grateful for my husband who is always by our side, giving love & offered open arms while I faced the fear that finally set in once our girls were soundly asleep that evening. Grateful for the firefighters, police & bystanders who offered warm clothing to the kids & I. Grateful to be here in one piece with my family safe & sound. This was very scary, but this was a good reminder to be in the moment, live fully, laugh hard & hold your loved ones tight because you never know what the next day may bring. Big kudos to my girlies for being so swift & calm in the intense situation. They listened firmly to directions & I admire the strength they have already at such a young age. The Hildén’s are always prepared for chaos of all sorts & we are putting our best foot forward. ❤️‍🩹 Things can be replaced, but we cannot be….and to the girls beloved Barbie, “Buttcrack”, who was a casualty in the car fire…may you rest in peace. She will be greatly missed. #RIPButtcrack #fyp
