when i was looking for another job i only got 2 callbacks, one was from a scaffolding company and another was from a carpenter who saw my resume nailed to an unfinished house, i wouldve had to quit za for scaffolding so i asked if i could call back in a week or 2, 3 days later i met with the carpenter boss, i live in aus, ns brisbane, when i was talking to him he said id be starting on $12p/h, 7am-3pm no overtime no weekend work oy monday to friday, i have a 2yr old son and my misses at the time was pregnant, after explaining thatd i was fked over with eastcoast and lost nearly 7 months of time he told me to call blue dog and theyd see what month of my first yr they could place me at, i got home and before leaving the car i immediately called the scaffolding company back and i started 2 days later on monday, he said he could do a dodgy for me and do my 3 month trial through a labour hire agency so i didnt get drug tested for those 3 months so it would clear out by then, but not even 6 weeks later the big bosses cut ties with all labour hire agencies and that was a week or 2 into october when i was booked in to do my scaff ticket 2 weeks ago, i was getting paid a little less than usual bcz its labour hire and the company had to pay nearly double my wage for me so i was on $32.50, wouldve gone up to $38 after properly signing over, i wouldve been allowed to start driving trucks cz i took my mr for the job, if i passed the driving test i wouldve gone up to about $45 and if i passed the scaff ticket i wouldve been on about $52, i couldve gotten $20 in raises in the span of 2 weeks, renting out, filthy rich cz i wouldve been allowed to work saturdays and weekend and overtime work was optional but always there, legit the best crew and job ive worked in my life, im only not getting back on za again for the hopes of getting a mean as job like that again
