Today I turned 29 🥳 So, here are 29 things I’ve learned in 29 years: 1. No one knows what they’re doing. People know how to do things, but at the end of the day, no one has a secret cheat code to life & has it all figured out. The older + wiser you get, the more apparent this becomes. 2. The best revenge is success. 3. Marry someone who makes you laugh. 4. Tell people you love that you love them!!! 5. Compliment more than you critique. 6. Invest time into finding a form of exercise you genuinely enjoy. 7. If you want to make good friends, be a good friend. 8. The person interviewing you is nervous too. 9. There is life to be lived in the waiting. 10. Direct communication is considerate and kind. 11. The best things in life aren’t easy, but they’re worth it. 12. Gratitude isn’t something to roll your eyes at, it’s a powerful practice. 13. Be the first one to reach out. 14. If your mom doesn’t like them, listen to her. 15. Cheap things are expensive. 16. Argue like you’re right, listen like you’re wrong. 17. Be kind to animals. 18. Investing isn’t just for rich people. 19. Discipline is self care for future you. 20. Wrinkles on your face are normal, and beautiful! 21. You don’t have to be optimized to be lovable, your worth is inherent. 22. Always be reading a book. 23. Grief isn’t something you get over, it’s something that moves into your home, unexpected, and you have to make it coffee every morning. 24. A sense of humor is emotional intelligence, learn to laugh at things. 25. Confidence isn’t about getting everyone to like you, it’s being okay when they don’t because you like you. 26. You’ll never make yourself look good trying to make someone else look bad. 27. Your phone is a drug, moderate consumption. People are better in real life. 28. Book that trip. 29. The only difference between an obstacle and an adventure is your attitude. ❤️
