@get.switched: How to lube tactile switches 🧡 . Starting this new series on « how to » basically improve your keyboard experience ! Get ready to learn everything and anything on building your first custom keeb 🙌🏼 . Tips & tricks to lube your tactiles : 1️⃣ Get a switch opener and your working pad or a few containers lying around. You need to open all your switches and separate the different parts 2️⃣ To save some time you can find a small box or zipbag, get all of your springs in there with a few drops of the Krytox GOL 105. Close it and shake shake shake until all of them are coated ! 3️⃣ Now is the time to invest in a lubing station ! It will save you so much time. You can place all of your bottom housing and start lubing the sides and center with what’s left in the brush. Don’t go near the copper part. 4️⃣ This is where tactiles are different : when lubing the stems you lube all side BUT do not touch the 2 legs as they are here for a reason. If you lube them they will slide so easily you will loose the tactile effect of the switch. 5️⃣ Assemble, close and repeat ! .
