It’s simple: gas prices do drive grocery prices- the more those trucks pay for fuel, the more tacked on the price of each item on the trucks. Simple math. That’s not the only reason but it is one. Could be the fires at all the chicken farms drove up eggs & chicken. Shortage of cows cause beef to go up. And on it goes.

Fuel costs DO drive up costs of everything. What needs to happen is the refineries need to be brought back online and new ones built to fill demand.
