I’ve been noticing something about people sometimes they’re not upset because they lost you they’re upset because they lost access to you. The first time they hurt you, they took everything you trusted them enough to tell them your pain, your struggles, your weaknesses, your private conversations and turned it into a weapon. They carried your business to the next person, hoping the information you gave them in confidence would somehow destroy you. But when that didn’t work, suddenly they want to find their way back into your life. Not always because they’ve changed, but sometimes because they need new information. They need another seat at your table so they can see what’s going on, learn what matters to you now, and possibly find another place to hurt you. Nah. Not anymore. This is blocking season. This is boundary season. This is protecting-my-peace season. At the age I am now, I understand that forgiveness does NOT mean restored access. I can forgive you without trusting you again. I can love you from a distance and still remember what you showed me. Family, friend, or somebody I once considered close it doesn’t matter. Once you intentionally use my vulnerability against me, our relationship will never go back to what it was. There’s no hatred in that. There’s no revenge in that. That’s growth. Some bridges don’t need to be burned they just don’t need to be crossed again. #BlockingSeason #ProtectYourPeace #BoundariesMatter #ForgiveFromADistance #GrowthChangesEverything
