As a thriving straight natural, Low heat or cool setting though. No high heat 🥰

It’s cause you retain length more easily. I’m a straight natural now

Facts. I’ve never seen a bald headed straight hair natural, lol it seems like everyone with heat trained hair gets a lot of growth

Bond treatment, clarifying shampoo, moisturizing shampoo, deep cond, leave in, heat protect, then flatiron. THATS THE 🔑 😘

Yep she’s not lying. When it’s wet and in a tight bun with gel it breaks and flakes off. When it’s natural straight(routine trims) it retains natural oils and less breaking

Yes, when your hair is straight you don’t really have to do much detangling and stuff that cause breakage and snapping… I recommend blowouts instead of full on straightening tho😅

Yes moisturizer is easier to penetrate through straight strand hair versus coiled hair

I knew a stylist who claimed that her most damaged heads were her natural clients who were afraid of heat! she said they never realize how damaged their hair is because the curls cover up those splits

It’s also the frequent washing that grows it too.

It’s because the natural scalp oils can get down the hair shaft when it’s stretched compared to when it’s curly !

It’s because when you straighten your hair you leave it alone for awhile but with our natural curls we have to consistently do your hair everyday or every few days.

You do not sound crazy! I wear straight natural during the winter and curly during the summer to monitor growth and sheddingr! Low heat 370 for me 1 to 2 passes! My curl pattern is still good!

LL | Lifestyle & Beauty :
The reason why is because with curly textures it is harder for your natural oils to reach the lengths of your hair so it mostly stays on the scalp. With straight hair the oils can travel down the lengths freely

And guys, you can be a straight natural just with a blow out. The whole point is to keep your hair in a stretched state.
