I work at a engine shop and Cummins heads are known to crack around the valve seats and injector hold also there mainly stress cracks but yeah that heads going to need seats put in for sure

Friend of mine has a 12v and he puts a splash of auto trans fluid in wit his oil. Acts as a cleaner and his motor is flawless with over 500k on it

A lot of those cracks don’t matter but the valve seat is the problem those heads are bad for cracks between valves but just doesn’t matter
